Salicylic acid contained in the composition of the preparation shows weak antiseptic, irritating and distracting effects. Salicylic acid, which is included in this Salipod callus patch, improves the penetration of sulfur into the layers of the skin, having keratolytic and antimicrobial action. During external (topical) application, this component causes peeling of the skin and the death of pathogenic bacteria that are on their surface. Sulfur has a pronounced drying effect. This prevents the development of associated fungal or bacterial infections. It also has a softening effect on the skin, gently removing the scales of the so-called keratinizing layers, promoting deep penetration of sulfur.
