It is used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers, GERD (heartburn, reflux), erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, as well as to protect the mucosa when taking NSAIDs and eradication of Helicobacter pylori.<br \/>\nThe main indications for use:<br \/>\nPeptic ulcer: Treatment and prevention of exacerbations of gastric and duodenal ulcers.<br \/>\nGERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease): Relief of heartburn, acid belching and treatment of reflux esophagitis.<br \/>\nGastric Protection: Prevention of erosive and ulcerative lesions caused by taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs, e.g., ibuprofen, aspirin).<br \/>\nHelicobacter pylori eradication: As part of complex therapy with antibiotics to kill the bacterium causing the ulcer.<br \/>\nZollinger-Ellison syndrome: A disease associated with increased acid secretion.<br \/>\nThe drug is often prescribed to relieve symptoms of dyspepsia associated with increased acidity.
